Broker's Comments
This vessel is a good-looking, long-haul cruising machine and a real choice for anyone that wishes to go cruising internationally.
She is a steel-hulled, double-ended, Bermudian rigged cutter, Tahitian design, built by David Lund of Bristol, in 1983, and was home finished to a good standard. She has been lying ashore for a few years and has been partially renovated for a return to the water
This yacht seems lightly used and was built for the original owner whose intention was to go long international cruising. Now based on the River Orwell, and with a recent mast and re-rig, the yacht has been a livea board and only locally sailed within East Anglia.
The current owner's plans have changed mid refurbishment and with a few weekends of work, she could be ready for next season This potential classic is now being offered at a realistic price that reflects this.
The owner had a hull survey done and is available. The hull thickness averaged to be 4 mm thick. The original hull paintwork is rubberised paint and has a few areas that need rubbing down and repainting. This is a solid go anywhere sailing boat with a reliable and well looked after BMC engine. The owner will be happy to run buyers through the whole boat in an honest fashion ensuring that everything is covered and explained.
A very recent survey confirms that there are no immediate concerns and that she is of solid construction
